Average Bench: 81% (472nd of 1072)

Based on 3,421 user benchmarks.  Models: Corsair Neutron GTX SSD, Corsair Neutron GTX, Corsair Neutron GTX SS

The Neutron GTX is the faster of the two Neutrons released by Corsair. They both use the same Link A Media LM87800 controller but the GTX features more expensive 24NM Toshiba toggle mode NAND. The main performance gains are seen in the area of sequential writes where the GTX reaches speeds of 482 MB/s vs 359 MB/s on the non GTX version. Unfortunately the impressive boost in sequential write performance is not matched in the area of random 4k read/writes, the GTX's weakest relative areas of performance. The GTX achieved a Real World Performance Index Score of 537.6 MB/s which is approx 60 MB/s faster than the non GTX version, and an impressive score. We consider the GTX version to represent better value for money. That said there are other drives currently on the market that offer better value for money at this time. [Apr '13 SSDrivePro]

Excellent

This is currently one of the best performing consumer grade SSDs on the market. A key advantage is that it doesn't use the sandforce SF2281 controller which has been blamed for lots of bugs in the OCZ Vertex/Agility and Kingston HyperX range of SSD's. On the flip side this drive uses a new controller that some might argue is somewhat untested as yet.

Good

Fantastic performance, a worthy successor to the hugely successfull and recently decommissioned Performance Pro Series.
