The Neutron exhibits a slightly unbalanced performance profile favouring reads over writes, it achieved a real world score of 479.7 MB/s which is slightly above centre in the group test. The Neutron's ability to handle server loads as per the AS-SSD total score is also above average but weighed down by relatively poor sequential and 4k write speeds. With an above average price the Neutron doesn't represent good value for money. This drive uses a Link A Media Devices LM87800 controller, it's the first time Link A Media have produced a consumer grade SSD controller and although there have been no major issues reported so far, the company has a long way to go before establishing a reputation like Marvel, the company behind the controller on the Corsair Performance Pro, the predecessor to this drive and its better value for money GTX sibling ^{[Apr '13 SSDrivePro]}
