Average Bench: 69.3% (370th of 908)

Based on 1,834 user benchmarks.  Models: ADATA SX900, ADATA SX 900, ADAT SX900, ADATA SSD SX900 256GB-, ADATA SSD SX900 256GB-DL2-TCG

The SX900 and SX910 are both Sandforce 2881 based SSDs from Adata. The only difference between them is their warranty period: 5 years for the SX910 vs 3 years for the SX900. Both drives utilize Intel-Micron 25Nm MLC so the differences must be at a "sub-atomic" level, or at least beyond the scope of the specs. Once again as with all Sandforce 2881 based drives performance is skewed in favour of reads over writes. With a peak sequential read of 510 MB/s and corresponding sequential write of 309 MB/s the SX series does not break any records but, like all SSDs, they do offer speeds way in excess of mechanical hard drives. Overall performance lags the SSD group leaders by around 40% and there are far faster, cheaper and newer (non-Sandforce) alternatives such as the Samsung 840 Evo or the Sandisk Ultra Plus available. [Jan '14 SSDrivePro]

Above average average bench

The Adata XPG SX900 256GB averaged 30.6% lower than the peak scores attained by the group leaders. This isn't a great result which indicates that there are much faster alternatives on the comparison list.
