The Neutron GTX is the faster of the two Neutrons released by Corsair. They both use the same Link A Media LM87800 controller but the GTX features more expensive 24NM Toshiba toggle mode NAND. The main performance gains are seen in the area of sequential writes where the GTX reaches speeds of 482 MB/s vs 359 MB/s on the non GTX version. Unfortunately the impressive boost in sequential write performance is not matched in the area of random 4k read/writes, the GTX's weakest relative areas of performance. The GTX achieved a Real World Performance Index Score of 537.6 MB/s which is approx 60 MB/s faster than the non GTX version, and an impressive score. We consider the GTX version to represent better value for money. That said there are other drives currently on the market that offer better value for money at this time. [Apr '13SSDrivePro]
