Looking at the 120GB and 240GB 600's shows that the larger 240GB version has peak speeds that are nearly 50% higher than the smaller 120GB. This increase in speed is down to additional NAND modules on the larger version which allow more parallelization during writes. The 120GB 600 has peak sequential read/write speeds of 508/246 MB/s which is great for reading but terrible for writing. The 600 does have reasonable deep queue performance but that doesn't make up for its relative inability to write.
