complete garbage, needs a firmware update, freezes and stutters for 5-20 seconds every few minutes, makes for anything but the most basic of internet browsing/youtube checking impossible or mind numbingly annoying to do.

Started getting really slow and inconsistent after 1 and a half years

Still better than HDD in most cases, but is probably the worst SSD around. Definitely not for boot/OS as it doesn't have dram. Write speeds will disappoint once it fills up (after 50%). It gets to 30 MB/s writing, much slower than HDD. I even got 15 MB/s writes when 75% was full. But good for gaming with its good read speed—Dec '20

OS (win10 and linux mint 19) freezes and stutters for a few seconds when installed on this SSD.

Excellent

Cheap drive that is suitable for gaming, but performs poorly in Windows and can stutter/freeze with heavy usage. Kingston should release a new firmware to address these issues.

Terrible

Awful performance coupled with instability. Avoid like the plague.

i need some opinion, do u guys encounter freeze in game while put this A400 on main drive windows, i get freeze game on csgo and pubg everytime i play on it.

Good

It's been reported to have lots of issues

Excellent

Poor write performance, its fast when its empty ~ 200MB/s, however when it passes 20%, it becomes terrible, about 40-50MB/s, on occasion it drops below 10. On linux its useless, ubuntu 18 freezes every few minutes.

Terrible

Worst drive i have ever owned, freezes frequenltly, unusable

Excellent

i use it for a while and i can say all good things about this SSD, it is not the fastest around but for the price is everything u looked for and that's it! Thumbs up! Good SSD from 1 to 5 = solid 4

Good

No problems for me. Works just fine as expected.

Poor

Has a freezing problem, kingston need to update the firmware on these things

Average

needs DRAM as booting causes stutters on this one

Terrible

I don't recommend this even for a budget build. DO NOT use it as a system drive. Yes it'll be faster than a hard disk but the reliability is questionable. Buy yourself a dram ssd for system drive, don't cheap out on it this is very important. Terrible write speed
