I have a Crucial MX drive as my system drive for years. Got BX used one for external storage. It gets EXTREMELY HOT! 50c just doing nothing! 80c+ under load. And yeah, after the cache is used up, the write speed drops to and a pathetic 50-60Mb/sec. Huge disappointment from Crucial. Not worth the money.

Much better than Kingston A400

I used this 250GB SSD to speed up my old laptop (installing Windows 10 on it) and it works great. I have 180GB of free space, so I don't know if performance stay consistent filling it up (since it lacks a dram-cache). If you need an SSD for a primary machine, get an MX500.

only buy if you understand what lacking vram means for how you should use the drive.
