SATA 6 Gb/s SSDs like this are still fantastically priced for the near unnecessary performance you can get out of this for almost all use cases.

Besides gaming and a GPU upgrade, this is the biggest upgrade you can make for your computer. It'll feel faster and more responsive in every way except framerate. I enjoy the 500GB size as it is large enough to use as a boot drive and to store almost all of my games and applications without having to worry about space constantly.

The Samsung SSD EVO 500GB is an unbelievably fast SSD, it improved my laptop speed and boot time by at least 1000%, its the best investment I've ever made and its brought my Aspire 5750/2414 that initially had an i5-2410M 4GB 1333MHz RAM (upgraded now to 8GB) and changed the processor to an i7-2720QM into the 21st century. I've never had any problems with Windows 10 Pro and even with the new v1809 that runs perfectly on this system. I highly recommend this SSD!

Cold boot went from 30 or 35 seconds to 6 seconds.

Good

Gave my machine new life...however, it is running pretty slowly percentile-wise.
