The Sandisk Ultra II sits above Sandisk's Ultra Plus and below their Extreme Pro. The Ultra Plus would probably have been phased out completely were it not for its continued success within budget space. The Ultra II is the first Sandisk drive to utilize cheaper (and slower) TLC NAND. Similarly to the Extreme Pro, the Ultra II utilizes an nCache which operates a portion of the NAND in simulated SLC mode. This strategy also matches the one employed by Samsung's now 14 months old Evo. Comparing the Ultra II and Evo shows broad performance equivalence which given the Ultra II's 15% price discount makes it the better choice today. That said it's probably worth waiting for the release of the 850 Evo which will pack another 14 months of Samsung's market leading R&D and will probably steal the show. [Sep '14 SSDrivePro]

The HyperX 3K is an updated version of the regular HyperX, the only difference between the two SSDs is the grade of NAND flash. The regular HyperX's NAND flash is rated at 5,000 erase cycles vs 3,000 on the 3K version so broadly speaking the number of erase cycles before drive failure on the newer drive is approximately 40% less than on the original HyperX. The distinction is largely irrelevant for consumer users because even after 10 years neither of the drives are likely to come even close to their maximum number of erase cycles. As expected both HyperX's have very similar performance profiles which can be seen in this direct comparison of the two drives. Although the HyperX SSDs were strong contenders on release they are showing their age now and can no longer compete amongst the newer drives from Samsung and Plextor which are both cheaper and faster. [Jan '14 SSDrivePro]
