Got it for 189 Canadian at BestBuy as it was on sale. 10 dollar difference between the 980 1TB, but the 980 didn't have a DRAM Cache. The SSD is blazingly fast! Can boot up to windows in 15 seconds.

best nvme pcie 3.0 ssd for games

If you have the PCI-E lanes to support it... This is hilariously potent. Read/writes out of this world, that only workstations would ever truly find useful, if even that. For games, you'll never worry about load times again.

first time using an SSD let along a nvme so the speed just blew me away

as of may 2020 you need to have the nvme driver from samsung's website to get the most out of this drive

As good as it is expensive; costs a decent ~200€, but it is more than just insanely fast, probably among the fastest SSDs using PCIe 3.0. Downloading Samsung Magician software is recommended, it probably helps operating the device better?

Good

the samsung nvme driver takes speeds down below 1500...... don't know why. windows driver cranks it 200000...
